FAQs

How long is the program?

Student athletes can enroll for one or two semesters. Please see our dates and schedules for more information.

What types of students do you accept?

We seek hardworking, student athletes who are passionate about mountain sports or traditional sports and are dedicated—in their sport and in life. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, origin, ancestry, physical disability or sexual orientation.

When can I enroll in the program?

We accept student athletes on a rolling admissions/space available basis. If you are interested in RIDGE, it is never too early to give us a call and see if we may be the right fit for you.

How do I apply?

Request an application and a phone call with our Admissions Director by filling out the inquiry form on the website or giving us a call!

Can my family and/or significant others visit me?

Yes, we encourage family visits to Whitefish. There is so much to see and do.

What is the drug and alcohol policy?

RIDGE Mountain Academy is an alcohol, tobacco, and drug free campus and program. We have a zero tolerance policy.

What if I’m vegetarian or have special dietary needs?

RIDGE has a Health and Nutrition program that will customize to your dietary needs.

What happens if I get sick or injured?

We always have a staff member on campus while a group is out in the field, so a sick student athlete has someone nearby. Injuries are treated with all seriousness and care at RIDGE. We have great coaches and relationships with physical therapists to rehab or recover from injuries. RIDGE has access to excellent medical care in Whitefish and the Flathead Valley.

What is the cost of the program?

Tuition is comparable to ski academies, prep schools, gap year programs, and small private colleges. Please call to speak with our Admissions Director if you are interested.

Do you offer financial aid?

Currently we do not offer financial aid. We are currently looking into external options for families regarding financial assistance.
